About Fermion Labs
Our Goal
Fermion Labs was created with a simple goal: to make physics concepts easier to visualize and experiment with directly in the browser. We believe that interacting with physical systems can complement traditional study and help build a better intuition for scientific topics.
Using tools like WebGL and React Three Fiber, we aim to provide reasonably accurate and responsive 3D simulations. While they are educational approximations rather than exact numerical models, we hope they offer a useful starting point for students, educators, and curious minds.
Platform Features
Simulation Domains
We are gradually building a collection of simulations covering Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity, and Thermodynamics. Our focus is on providing helpful visual aids for these specific fields.
Learning Progression
To help keep the learning process engaging, we have included a simple achievement system. You can track your progress and earn small titles as you spend time exploring different physics concepts on the platform.
Saved Labs
If you set up a simulation that you would like to revisit, you can save its state to your account. This allows you to pause your experiments and easily resume them later from any of your devices.
Personalized Interface
We have added a few options to adjust the platform to your preference, including different color themes and basic graphics settings, to help the simulations run as smoothly as possible on your specific hardware.
The Founder
Fermion Labs was founded and architected by Basim Nasser, a polymath whose work bridges the gap between the natural sciences and the humanities.
As a Philosopher and Sociologist, Basim explores the foundational principles of human behavior and societal structures. As a Psychologist, he delves into cognitive learning and human interaction. As a Physicist and Software Developer, he brings these theoretical concepts to life by engineering highly complex, interactive simulations that make the abstract laws of nature accessible to the world.
The platform is a manifestation of his multidisciplinary vision, continuously evolving to provide a powerful tool for those who share a deep curiosity for the universe, interactive learning, and the intersection of science and philosophy.
